We can use certain verbs with -ing form. 

  like   enjoy   love   keep

   finish   stop   mind   go

  +  -ing 

 

Examples :

bulletI don't like dancing.
bulletDo you enjoy singing?
bulletMary loves eating ice creams.
bulletHave you finished doing your homework?
bulletLet's go swimming in the sea.

 

To-Infinitive

We use to do, to eat, etc. (to + infinitive) after these verbs :

  want  agree  forget   remember

  hope  wish  decide  plan   offer

  +  to  + infinitive

Examples :

bulletPeter forgot to bring his key.
bulletPlease remember to wait for me at seven o'clock tonight.
bulletThey hope to go to Japan this summer.
bulletPaul agreed to lend Mary some money.

 

Infinitive without 'to'

We use do, eat, buy ( Infinitive ) after these verbs :

 can  will   should  must  

 may    could  might  would

  +  infinitive
   let      make

Examples :

bulletWe may go by bus.
bulletBirds can fly.
bulletMay I turn on the fan?
bulletShe will go to school next year.
bulletThis film made me cry.
bulletMy mother let me play football.
